Why Kashmir? Why do I love it? It's the weather, the carpets, the shawls, the tea, the gardens, the wooden architecture, spices, the santoor, pashmina goats, hookah, paper mache crafts, the wool, the silk, the designs of patterns... The daintiness of it's society. The economy is not so avanced yet they they all lead rich lives. Is it dainty? Its delicate, poetic, soft, cold and warm. It's porcelain white, with earthy pastels. Nothing harsh, nothing severe, nothing synthetic. It hearty, and earthy, but of finest quality. Its not boorish, but quite polite, no one screams, no one yells. Its ordered and formal, and almost uniform. It's not gaudy, but very intricate. I couldn't imagine a proper skyscraper in srinagar... Maybe a proper tower if need be....
